Landscape Roundtable: Advancing Integrated Landscape Strategies for the SDGs

FAO Liaison Office, Washington, D.C.

Last month at the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, and earlier this summer at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, leaders from around the world gathered at the United Nations in New York to review progress and lay out plans for the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

  • What are the key highlights from these events, and what are the implications for landscape, territorial and place-based strategies for achieving the SDGs?
  • How has integration among the goals been approached?

This roundtable session will discuss how key stakeholders (including governments, businesses and civil society) have advanced progress to achieve the Goals, as well as explore what could be done over the next year to move the agenda of landscapes forward within the context of the SDGs.
