November 16, 2013 - November 17, 2013

Global Landscapes Forum

The Global Landscapes Forum was the merger of two annual events, Forests Day and Agriculture, Landscapes and Livelihoods Day, into a consolidated platform for discussion of the landscape approach to sustainable development. By integrating the management of agricultural activities and forest, as well as considering the sociological and cultural features of a landscape, practitioners were able to provide a vision for sustainability that can better capture potential synergies in development activities. The conferences objective was “to develop the potential of the landscape approach to inform future UNFCCC agreements and the achievement of the proposed Sustainable Development Goals.”
