The Korean network on Ecosystem Services (KESNET), together with the Ecosystem Services Partnership and many Asian partners, is organizing this training (30-31 May) and conference (31 May-3 June) to “Reconnect People with Ecosystems to achieve Nature-based Solutions for Environmental and Socio-economic Problems” in Ansan City, South Korea.
The focus will be on the question if and how the ecosystem services-concept can help solve pressing environmental and socio-economic problems. An important aim of this conference is to raise awareness in Asian communities about the ecosystem services concept and accelerate collaboration in Asia by expanding information-sharing among experts, policy-makers and practitioners on ecosystem services as a practical tool for Nature Based Solutions.
